Monica Scott
While reminiscing about her past and how she got to be a qualified Home Stager, Monica believes it started at ten years old. She was at her girlfriend, Peggy's house. They were up in the
bedroom that she shared with her two sisters. Monica thought it would be a great idea to clean
and rearrange their room. She vividly remembers all the junk and garbage under the beds. Three hours and two
full garbage bags later, she felt as if they had achieved something wonderful, with such a feeling
of satisfaction. Their mother wanted to adopt her!
During her high school days, Monica discovered the joys of auction sales. She would go weekly
and put her new found possessions, either in her bedroom or in the basement, to be restored by
her. By the time she moved away from home, she had an extensive collection of furniture and decorative items with which to adorn her new apartment. The apartment itself wasn't too snazzy, but nobody
noticed. The apartment was decorated tastefully and that is where her guests eyes stopped.
Monica treated each house she lived in like an artist with a blank easel. It was her joy, and talent, to
recreate the house to her visions and standards. Her sizeable profit on each house, told her, that
she was doing a great job. Renovating and redecorating has always been her passion. This has ultimately led to her fascination and enthusiam for Home Staging as a career. She chose to bartend, while raising her three
children. This nice income enabled her to spend more time at home, fulfilling her dreams.
Bartending has given Monica a sociable and fun personality, while still being able to work under
pressure.
Now that her children have grown and moved on, Monica has retired from bartending and has begun her own home staging business. She has graduated from The Staging Diva Program™ and is now looking forward to helping home owners sell faster and for more by maximizing their home's potential. |
